Kids Skin Care FAQs
Is natural skin care safe for kids?
Yes. Natural and organic products made without synthetic fragrances, parabens, or harsh detergents are generally much safer and gentler on children’s sensitive skin.
Can I use adult skin care products on my child?
It’s not recommended. Kids have more delicate skin, and adult formulas may be too strong or contain ingredients that can cause irritation. It's best to use products specifically formulated for children.
What ingredients should I avoid in kids’ skin care?
Avoid harsh chemicals like sulfates (SLS), artificial fragrances, parabens, petrochemicals, and alcohols that can dry or irritate the skin. Choose simple, plant-based ingredients instead. Be careful with essential oils also.
What natural ingredients are good for children’s skin?
Soothing ingredients like calendula, chamomile, coconut oil, and shea butter are excellent for nourishing and calming sensitive or dry skin.
What can I use for eczema or very dry skin in kids?
Look for rich, fragrance-free balms and moisturisers that are safe for sensitive skin. Apply after bathing to help lock in moisture and protect the skin barrier.
Can I use essential oils on kids’ skin?
Only with caution. Some essential oils can be too strong or irritating for young skin. Always choose products specifically formulated for children that use safe, diluted concentrations of essential oils—or opt for essential-oil-free products for babies and toddlers.
