Beyond the action on the court, a delightful mix of characters brings the illustration to life. Friends pause to watch between games, passersby move through the park, and a scene-stealing dog named Pickle proudly carries a pickleball in his mouth, adding a playful wink to the composition. Kroik’s signature style shines through in the expressive figures, layered details, and lively urban atmosphere.

Brand story
Founded in 2007 by two college friends, New York Puzzle Company began with a simple idea: to create a jigsaw puzzle featuring New York City's iconic subway map. Today, the brand creates beautifully illustrated puzzles inspired by vintage artwork, literary classics and The New Yorker, collaborating with talented independent artists to bring each design to life. Made in the USA using 100% recycled chipboard and soy-based inks, New York Puzzle Company combines quality craftsmanship, nostalgic design and environmental responsibility, while donating 1% of sales to environmental non-profits through 1% for the Planet.
