Hold it in your palm and squeeze. Roll the spikes over tight spots - shoulders, lower back, the sole of your foot.

Press it into your hand in a tense moment and focus on the texture. There's no wrong way to use it.

Designed for adults and older kids. Always supervise little ones since it's a small object with fine detail.

Wipe clean with a damp cloth and leave to air dry, if it needs a more thorough wash - gentle dish soap and warm water is best, but keep it away from prolonged moisture.

The spikes are pretty spikey but rounded off, not sharp like a needle. It's meant to give your hands something to press into, not something to wince at. Use your own discretion for how hard you want to squeeze it.

Calm Companion was created by two mums, Jess, a registered midwife, and Mikaelah, a primary teacher and photographer, after noticing how a simple wooden acupressure tool originally designed for labour support was helping people through all kinds of stressful moments. From blood tests and MRI scans to anxiety, sensory overwhelm and busy days at work, they realised everyone could benefit from having a small, grounding tool close by.

Today, Calm Companion creates practical, pocket-sized tools for everyday moments when you need a little extra support. Each companion is hand-carved from natural wood in a certified Fair Trade workshop, making it a thoughtful, tactile tool to keep close wherever life takes you.
