Using a shampoo bar is simple, but a few small tweaks can make a big difference to your results.
Step 1: Fully wet your hair
Shampoo bars work best on very wet hair. Make sure your hair is completely saturated before applying.
Step 2: Choose your application method
You can use a shampoo bar in two main ways:
- Option 1: Apply directly to hair (most effective): Rub the shampoo bar directly onto your scalp in gentle strokes. Focus on the roots where oil tends to build up. Massage with your fingers to create a creamy lather.
- Option 2: Lather in hands first (great for shorter hair): Rub the bar between your hands to create foam. Apply the lather to your scalp and massage through.
Step 3: Massage the scalp properly
Work the lather into your scalp using your fingertips, not your nails. This helps remove oil, dirt and product build-up.
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly
Rinse well to ensure no product is left behind. Repeat only if needed.

- Wash no more than 2 - 3 times per week to maintain scalp balance.
- Always store your shampoo bar in a well-drained soap dish to extend its life.
- If you’re switching from liquid shampoo, allow 1 - 2 weeks for your scalp to rebalance.

I have really thick hair and sensitive skin. I’ve tried a few shampoo/conditioner bars and all of them made my hair like straw and dried out my scalp so severely that it was sore. I tried this bar as a last ditch effort and I am so glad I did. It is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Not only does it smell great, my hair is soft and smooth afterwards, my scalp is not dried out and my hair is clean! Coupled with the conditioning bar and I can’t go wrong. So happy that I finally found a bar that works.
