Viva La Body Balance Solid Shampoo Bar is a balancing shampoo bar for oily hair and combination hair, formulated to cleanse greasy roots without stripping or drying out your ends. Powered by lemon myrtle, pink clay and grapefruit, it helps control excess oil, remove build-up and extend time between washes while adding natural volume and shine. This vegan, plastic-free shampoo bar delivers fresh, lightweight hair with salon-quality results and zero harsh detergents.
Each bar is designed to last for up 80 washes (dependent on use & length of hair).

Using a shampoo bar is simple, but a few small tweaks can make a big difference to your results.
Step 1: Fully wet your hair
Shampoo bars work best on very wet hair. Make sure your hair is completely saturated before applying.
Step 2: Choose your application method
You can use a shampoo bar in two main ways:
- Option 1: Apply directly to hair (most effective): Rub the shampoo bar directly onto your scalp in gentle strokes. Focus on the roots where oil tends to build up. Massage with your fingers to create a creamy lather.
- Option 2: Lather in hands first (great for shorter hair): Rub the bar between your hands to create foam. Apply the lather to your scalp and massage through.
Step 3: Massage the scalp properly
Work the lather into your scalp using your fingertips, not your nails. This helps remove oil, dirt and product build-up.
Step 4: Rinse thoroughly
Rinse well to ensure no product is left behind. Repeat only if needed.
Pro Tips for Best Results
- Wash no more than 2 - 3 times per week to maintain scalp balance.
- Always store your shampoo bar in a well-drained soap dish to extend its life.
- If you’re switching from liquid shampoo, allow 1 - 2 weeks for your scalp to rebalance.
- Pair with a matching conditioner bar for optimal results.

Love the gentle but long lasting clean the shampoo provides. After a couple of uses a wash will last me several days instead of every other day. The bars last much longer so are a good deal even though a bit expensive - just make sure they dry out well in between uses. Works really well on my fine hair.

I have really thick hair and sensitive skin. I’ve tried a few shampoo/conditioner bars and all of them made my hair like straw and dried out my scalp so severely that it was sore. I tried this bar as a last ditch effort and I am so glad I did. It is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Not only does it smell great, my hair is soft and smooth afterwards, my scalp is not dried out and my hair is clean! Coupled with the conditioning bar and I can’t go wrong. So happy that I finally found a bar that works.
