Coconut Oil & Flesh are naturally rich in Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and C, as well as Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc. They're very nourishing and healthy for your skin. Coconut oil is also antibacterial and antifungal, so it may aid the healing of troubled skin. Coconut Sugar utilises the coconut's nutrient benefits, as well as providing deep and gentle exfoliation. Tassie Sea Salt is rich in Potassium and low in Sodium, meaning it's great at rejuvenating tired skin and exfoliating.
Lemon & Lime Essential Oils have a sweet and tangy scent, creating a warm and energising citrus aroma .
Orange Essential Oil not only complements these citrus scents, but refreshes and detoxifies. It may help to combat cellulite, dry skin, muscle aches, and nervous tension.
Orange, Poppyseed & Coconut DIY Body Scrub
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Coconut Oil (at room temperature)
- 2 tablespoon Tassie Sea Salt
- 1/4 cup Coconut Flesh
- 1/4 cup brown or Raw Sugar
- 1/4 cup Coconut Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Poppyseeds (from pantry)
- 15 drops each of
Method
- Mix all the ingredients for this DIY body scrub together until they are well coated in the oil. Add more oil if needed for desired consistency.
- Store your DIY body scrub in a sealed glass jar at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. We have used a Ball mason jar.
How To Use
Scoop a small amount from the jar and apply all over your body, paying extra attention to dry and rough areas in need of TLC.
Wash off and apply your favourite body moisturiser.
Use within 3-6 months.
